Dr. Bachoura received his  Bachelor of Science from the University of Southern California  and went on to University of Southern California School of Dentistry, where he received his D.D.S. in 2003. Dr. Bachoura completed his medical schooling at the University of Texas Houston Medical School in 2007 and did an internship in General Surgery in Medicine. He also completed a four year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the same institution. In addition to Dr. Bachoura’s extensive training, he completed the USMLE program, Steps 1, 2 and 3. He is an instructor in the Advanced Cardio Life Support System. He is certified in Basic Life Support and a provisional member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Texas Dental Association (TDA), Greater Houston Dental Society and Houston Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also Board Certified with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Training and scope of Practice   
After four years of postgraduate dental education, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon completes four or more years of intensive, postdoctoral, hospital-based surgical residency training. Oral and Maxillofacial surgery residents spend significant time rotating through related medical fields such as internal medicine, general surgery, anesthesiology, otolaryngology, plastic surgery, and emergency medicine. Depending on the residency program, some surgeons may also opt to complete the necessary requirements to earn a medical or other advanced degree. Some may also subsequently complete fellowships in sub-specialty area.  Dr. Bachoura’s interests include skiing, hiking,running and music. He participates in high performance driving and enjoys restoring old vehicles. He has run and completed the Houston marathon from 2004 to 2009

Simon Young DDS,MD , PhD                                                                                       ( * BOARD CERTIFIED*)


Dr. Young grew up in Toronto, Canada. He received his Bachelor of Science in 1999 from the University of Toronto, and went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He graduated in 2003. He was then accepted into an integrated Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery/M.D./Ph.D. program at Rice University and the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He completed his Ph.D. in Bioengineering at Rice University in 2008, and then obtained his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston in 2011. As part of his education, Dr. Young also completed a General Surgery internship at the same institution, along with extensive anesthesia training and 4 years of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency training. In addition to Dr. Young’s surgical and research experience, he is also an Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor, and a certified Provider of Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support.

Dr. Young has completed the United States Medical Licensing examinations Steps 1,2, and 3, and is a member of the American Medical Association, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Houston Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Greater Houston Dental Society. He is also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, a Fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, and a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Aside from the clinical practice of oral and maxillofacial surgery, Dr. Young is also keenly interested in exploring new technologies to advance patient care.

He has published extensively on novel bone regeneration strategies and recently completed a post-doctoral research fellowship at Harvard University investigating cutting-edge therapies for oral cancer. The allure of Texas remains strong, however, and Dr. Young is excited to continue working with Cypress Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two young sons and looks forward to maintaining strong ties to a city that has given him so much, both professionally and personally over the last 10 years.

WARNER HEATHMAN D.D.S.                                                                                           (BOARD ELIGIBLE)           


Dr. Heathman is a native of Littlefield, Texas. He attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas as a junior in high school for college credits. He is also an award winner for the national merit scholarship.After graduating high school, he went onto college at the Baylor University. In 1968, Dr. Heathman was accepted in the Baylor College of Dentistry as a junior. (Only 5 out of 100 students are accepted) In 1972 he received his D.D.S. Degree.

Dr. Heathman then went into the military, and was commissioned as a captain in the US Army. He served as the acting Oral & Maxillofacial surgeon for the entire US Army in Korea. Dr. Heathman received Army Commendation Medal for surgeries in Korean. 

From 1978-2015, He owned a private practice in the local Houston area. Dr. Heathman interest during his free time include reading, and going mission trips to Brazil.

 Andrew Michael_D.D.S. , M.D__________________________( *BOARD CERTIFIED*)


Dr. Andrew Michael attended the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco,CA where he received his dental degree, becoming a second-generation dentist.  He then continued his education by earning his medical degree and completing his postgraduate residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, one of the largest and most diverse Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery programs in the country. 

Dr. Michael is trained in full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and his primary areas of interest include pathology, dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants, and maxillofacial trauma. Dr. Michael is a member of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and the Greater Houston Dental Society.

  In his free time, Dr. Michael enjoys playing basketball, golfing, photography, traveling, and                                                                   spending time with his wife Holly and his new baby daughter, Christiana.
