Dermal Fillers
As we age, the skin loses some of its fullness, due to the effects of the weather, time, gravity, and other factors. The goal of dermal fillers, including Juvéderm, Restylane, and Radiesse, is to restore the natural fullness of the face. Because dermal fillers return skin to its youthful state, they’re often more a more natural-looking solution than a cosmetic facelift.
Formulated of bioabsorbable materials, which are naturally absorbed into the system over time, dermal fillers add volume to facial areas such as the lips, cheekbones, under-eyes, smile lines, jaw lines, and lip corners. Treatment with a dermal filler can be completed in a short visit to our office, and patients require little to no recovery time.
Our office offers three types of dermal fillers:
- Juvéderm – FDA-Approved Juvéderm is made from naturally-occurring hyaluronic acid for long-lasting results. With Juvéderm, the doctor can add volume to laugh lines and other deep to severe facial wrinkles and folds. After just a few tiny injections, you’ll notice remarkable results, and Juvéderm injections have been clinically proven to last for six months to one year.
- Restylane – Developed in Sweden and backed by years of experience, Restylane is the most popular dermal filler. Also hyaluronic acid based, Restylane provides fullness and elasticity to deep smile lines (nasolabial folds). In general, Restylane lasts six months to one year.
- Radiesse – The longest lasting dermal filler, Radiesse uses a hydroxylapatite filler to stimulate the body’s natural production of collagen. Radiesse wrinkle filler delivers immediate results, plumping smile lines, marionette lines, oral commissure, and pre-jowl areas. In most cases, Radiesse lasts one to two years.
